| E-Charge, cable Type 2-type 2. The cable is made of TPE material and offers high resistance to oil, abrasion, and UV light. It remains flexible even at low temperatures. Type 2 sockets are now the EU standard and are used by car manufacturers such as Audi, BMW, Hyundai, KIA, Mercedes, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, Tesla, Volkswagen, and Volvo. The charging process is monitored by bidirectional communication between the vehicle and the charger. After connecting the cable to the vehicle, a self-test is performed to ensure the cable is properly connected and the vehicle is ready to charge before the charging process begins. The cable's plugs are mechanically locked when the cable is switched on, providing protection against theft and unauthorized use during charging. After charging, unlock the vehicle to release the mechanical lock, and first pull the charging cable sideways from the vehicle to disconnect it from the charger. The Deltaco e-Charge EV-3215-S charging cable is compatible with all vehicles with a Type 2 socket and enables efficient charging at public charging stations or your own charging station with a Type 2 socket in mode 3.
